Our Head InstructorsPhilosophy
Our head instructors, RJ & Ali, have a combined 30 years experience in dancing, and a combined 20 years experience in a large number of social dance styles. At the heart of their dance philosophy, is the joy, fun and benefits that dancing can bring to our lives. Both have learned from their own personal experience the benefits that social and partner dancing can bring to your life. RJ's background was in software development, and for years, he balanced a full-time job with his passion for dance through both teaching and learning. Eventually, this forced a career change so he could focus on spreading his love and joy of dance. Ali's background was in jazz, ballet and musical theatre. She later gained a job as a social dance instructor and fell in love with teaching others how to dance. Both RJ & Ali have come to realize the social and health benefits of spreading social dancing to all age groups and people, not just the career or competition dancer. Both have realized the positive impact that dancing can bring to anybody! |

RJ & Ali head a dedicated team of instructors that come from all walks of life. With vastly varying career backgrounds, they all come together with the shared passion of bringing dance into their lives and passing it on to you. From programmer, to a martial arts sensei, to a fitness coach, our D4L instructors strive to teach you how to dance, have fun, and use it to supplement your lifestyle in positive ways!
